About the role
The primary focus of the Junior Management Accountant is to assist the Group Finance Manager in supporting the Avocado and Mango Farming Managers in arriving at appropriate commercial decisions required to achieve the short, medium and long-term financial objectives of the business. This is delivered through understanding, preparation, analysis and reporting of the financial performance of the respective operations.
The role involves financial support in areas of operational management efficiency (through farm management software), labour efficiency, inventory management, purchase orders and capex preparation.
Responsibilities
Support the Farming Managers and their teams with finance preparation, reporting and analysis
Close liaison with other Management Accountants from the finance team
Assist the Orchard Managers with full implementation and effective utilisation of farm management software, eg. Feildin, AgWorld
Assist in preparation of Capex requisition requests including justifications and documentation
Assistance to the Farming Managers in analysis of the monthly accounts in order to drive review and actions
Assistance in preparation of weekly and monthly reports including preparation of monthly journals
Assistance in preparation of and reporting against budgets, forecasts and long range plans
Assistance in farm production (yield) tracking and reporting
Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis
To be successful in this role you will need
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or relevant experience
Accounting and Administration experience
Strong Microsoft Suite skills, particularly Excel
Experience with PowerBI
ERP system knowledge and experience (Concur, SAP B1 preferred)
Effective communication skills
Ability to deliver and discuss financial results to all levels of the organisation
Ability to prepare monthly corporate reports
Ability to identify reporting tools to make processes more efficient
Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis
Valid drivers licence

What You Should Know About Our Operations
Our business is widespread, growing walnuts, almonds and bees in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland.
Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
