Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit finance team based in Richlands.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Accounting Transactions Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end processes and stakeholder support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of clearing and sub-ledger accounts;
  • Preparation and posting of journals, accruals, provisions and prepayments;
  • Month-end and year-end reporting support;
  • General ledger and P&L reviews;
  • Credit card processing and employee expense reimbursements;
  • Asset accounting, depreciation and asset disposals;
  • Assisting with FBT returns and audit requirements; and
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role;
  • Completed or currently studying an Accounting qualification;
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills; and
  • Able to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure during reporting periods.
