Role Purpose
We’re looking for an experienced National Injury Management & Wellbeing Specialist to lead injury management, workers’ compensation, and wellbeing programs across our national operations.
This is a key role responsible for driving early intervention strategies, improving return to work outcomes, reducing claim costs, and ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions (including NZ). You’ll partner closely with leaders, insurers, and health providers to support safe, timely, and sustainable recovery at work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end injury management and workers’ compensation claims
Drive early intervention and recovery at work programs
Coordinate return to work plans and suitable duties programs
Provide expert advice on:
Fitness for work
Psychological injury
Workplace adjustments
Monitor and report on:
Claim performance
Injury trends
Recovery outcomes and costs
Liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners, and regulators
Support leaders with injury management, wellbeing and psychosocial risk management
Ensure legislative compliance across all states and NZ
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate
5+ years in workers’ compensation, injury management or rehabilitation
Managing physical and psychological injury claims
Developing and implementing return to work programs
Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation
Experience working with insurers, medical providers, and legal stakeholders
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Return to Work Coordinator certification (or equivalent experience)
Qualification in Injury Management, Rehabilitation or related field
Certificate IV in WHS (desirable)
Current driver’s licence
