CYS Accountants is a growing public accounting practice based in Southport, Queensland, providing accounting, taxation, ASIC compliance, payroll, BAS and business advisory services to a predominantly Korean-speaking client base.

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

• Preparation and review of BAS, IAS and GST reconciliations

• Payroll, STP and Superannuation compliance

• Preparation of management reports and business performance analysis

• Liaising directly with clients regarding taxation and accounting matters

• Assisting with ASIC compliance and company secretarial matters

• Working independently to manage a portfolio of business clients

 

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification

• Completion of or substantial progress towards CA ANZ or CPA qualification

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting

• Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements

• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of business entities

• Ability to independently manage client engagements from commencement to completion

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean

• Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office applications

 

Desirable

• Chinese language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese)

• Experience with APS, XPM or other public practice software

• Experience dealing with Korean-owned small and medium businesses

 

Salary

$76,515 - $90,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
