Salmon rents & supports a complete range of Caterpillar & other heavy machinery used in mining & constructions sectors, providing high quality plant for short-term & long-term hire throughout Australia.

About the Role:

Based at our Head Office in Stapylton and reporting to our Finance Manager, this role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit accounts team.

The primary focus will be supporting the Accounts Payable function while working collaboratively across the wider finance team, including Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounting and Finance. This role is flexible and can be tailored to suit the experience of the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contractor invoice processing and timesheet reconciliation
• Processing invoices for external labour contractors (e.g. diesel fitters, plant operators) on a weekly/fortnightly basis via Dynamics 365 (D365) using invoice capture technology
• Ensuring invoices align with approved timesheets
• Following up with labour hire providers regarding missing or incomplete documentation
• Company credit card coding and administration
• Employee expense claim processing in D365
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Bank reconciliation (non-complex)
• Supporting invoice matching as part of a three-way match process
• Providing general administrative and accounts support to the Finance Manager as required

• While this role is primarily focused on supporting the Accounts Payable function, we also welcome applications from candidates with accounting and/or reporting experience who are looking to broaden their exposure within a finance team.
