About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our wonderful team on a full-time basis, with the option to work from home 2 days a week. Working with HR and the finance team, you will support the end-to-end payroll functions for our small-to-medium workforce in Australia and New Zealand, while providing a high level of payroll knowledge to internal stakeholders. And providing information to internal and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end payroll and superannuation processing for Australia and New Zealand

  • Maintaining accurate payroll records, including employee changes

  • Reconciliation and lodgement of payroll taxes and workers' compensation reconciliation

  • Dealings with the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department and the Australian Taxation Office

  • Responding to payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and internal policies

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll queries

  • Acting as the Accounts Payable backup when required

  • Contributing to continuous improvement within the payroll processes

  • Other administrative tasks as requested

About you

Have a positive approach and attitude with a passion for continuous improvement, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position and a certification in payroll functions. Have exceptional attention to detail and are comfortable with working to deadlines. Knowledge of Access Micropay software and the Manufacturing Award is preferred.
