Envigor is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer specialising in Payroll to join our forward thinking, dynamic company who are continuing to see impressive growth and pride ourselves on being at the forefront of the private aged care industry.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a full-time position, on-site.

Duties and Responsibilities

Processing payroll fortnightly
Calculating superannuation, PAYG, QLeave and Payroll Tax calculations and payments, WorkCover
Assisting with month-end and payroll reporting
Managing EOFY payroll processes
Being a key point of contact for all payroll queries
Award interpretation
Maintaining accuracy, compliance and meeting of deadlines
DVA

Selection Criteria

Applicants must possess the following skills and attributes:

A minimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in all functions of payroll accounting and accounts receivable in larger companies
Experience using Oracle and Definitiv software will be advantageous
Advanced knowledge of payroll systems
Proficiency in payroll tax calculation and withholding
Strong understanding of payroll-related laws and regulations
Ability to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience will be advantageous
Intermediate Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry
Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to adapt to change and new systems/processes quickly
Demonstrated ability to build relationships
Demonstrated ability to work in a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Legally work in Australia

The successful candidate will need to provide:

Current National/Federal Police Check / Yellow Card
Current Influenza Vaccination
If you have been a citizen in another country after the age of 16 you will also need to have a statutory declaration as per the "Police Certificate Guidelines for Aged Care Providers"
