Senior Control Systems Engineer

Embedded Expertise is currently seeking Senior Control Systems Engineers with Automation experience for long-term rolling contracts in Brisbane Queensland.

The work is based in the Brisbane CBD but has a working from home balance, the preference for one client is the person be based in Brisbane (as there may be adhoc site visits across Brisbane).

The successful candidates will need to oversee and work well in an already established team, supporting Engineering design for automation and control and be currently based in Brisbane, QLD. Understanding of Government processes would be an advantage.

Essential Skills & Requirements

1. Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical, Mechatronic, Instrumentation, or Automation
2. Strong Hands-on GEO/ CLEAR SCADA experience highly regarded
3. Planning full life cycle of projects
4. Strong Rockwell or Siemens S7-1500 PLC Programming (Schneider Modicon PLC (M340 / M580) experience would be highly desirable as well although not essential)
5. Knowledge of Unity Pro Software
6. Having business accument will be highly regarded
7. Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role
8. Providing technical design expertise and leadership
9. Functional description writing
10. Develop PLC code modifications
11. Full Project Life-cycle tendering, design, programming (SCADA & PLCs) and commissioning
12. RPEQ will be a HUGE Advantage
