The Role
Within the Contract Management function a Contract Management and Administration Support Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex contract management work within an integrated workforce.
Working within a Commercial Team, the Contract Management and Administration Support Officer will provide support to apply effective contract management and administration of the Regional Maintenance Provider – North East contract.
The Contract Management and Administration Support Officer will interpret and provide advice within the contract management function, including pricing and cost analysis outputs based on legislation, policy and contractual requirements. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, financial administration functions, conduct reviews and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.
The Contract Management and Administration Support Officer will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. Regional Maintenance Centre (RMC) North East is located in Cairns and will provide capability support to the Royal Australian Navy. The focus of this organisation will be on enhanced collaboration, co-ordination, workforce development and expansion to build the capability and capacity needed to meet increasing ship maintenance demands.
