Finance Manager

Join one of Queensland's most recognised cultural institutions in a 7 month contract as their new Finance Manager.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day to day finance function, lead a small team, oversee month end and management reporting, and ensure strong financial governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations and month end processes
• Preparing accurate management reports, cashflow forecasts and financial analysis
• Managing compliance obligations, including taxation, regulatory and external reporting requirements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial and financial insights
• Coaching and supporting a small finance team
• Assisting with finance systems, automation and process improvement projects

About You:
You are a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with proven experience leading finance operations. You combine strong technical accounting capability with a practical, hands on approach and enjoy partnering with stakeholders across the business.

You will bring:
• Experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting expertise
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management experience
• Advanced Excel and strong systems capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
