Branch Manager

Apex Building Products in Helensvale is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to take ownership of our branch and drive its continued success.

This is more than a management role – it's an opportunity to lead a business. You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the site, balancing sales growth, customer relationships, operational excellence, inventory management, safety, and team leadership.

We're looking for a leader who enjoys being close to the action. Someone who can build strong relationships with customers, support and develop their team, and make commercial decisions that deliver results. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, hire and develop a team of 20+ staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Mentor and guide the sales lead and production manager onsite to develop an effective leadership team.
• Drive branch sales growth and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and trade partners.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Manage branch budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Ensure inventory is effectively managed and maintained.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvements.

About You

• 5+ years of experience managing a branch, business unit, sales team, or operational site.
• Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of profit and loss drivers.
• A proven ability to grow sales and develop customer relationships.
• Experience leading and motivating teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be involved in day-to-day operations.
• Experience within building products, manufacturing, trade supply, or a related industry will be highly regarded.
