The Company

We are currently partnering with a well established organisation to appoint an experienced Financial Controller for an initial three month contract. There is potential for extension, however the immediate focus is securing someone who can provide hands on support and leadership through a busy period.

This is a broad role requiring someone who enjoys being close to the detail while leading a small finance team.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the finance function, supporting reporting requirements and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month end and year end reporting processes
• Managing the day to day activities of the finance team
• Reviewing financial statements and reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Strengthening controls and improving processes
• Providing financial insights and support to operational stakeholders
• Assisting with projects and change initiatives

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
• Strong technical accounting skills
• A hands on approach and willingness to work across both strategic and operational matters
• Proven leadership experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to quickly understand complex environments and deliver outcomes

This opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 to 3 days working from home and would suit candidates based on the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay region or Brisbane's northern suburbs.
