Finance Officer – Trust Accounting & Payroll

Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working | $100,000 – $110,000 Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Officer to join a well-established law firm in Brisbane CBD. Working closely with the Finance Manager in a small and collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of trust accounting, payroll and general finance operations.
This role is ideal for someone with trust accounting experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to broaden their finance experience in a supportive and down-to-earth team.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily trust account reconciliations and processing
• Trust payments, receipts and compliance activities
• Assist with trust audits and regulatory requirements
• Payroll administration and reconciliations
• General banking and finance support
• Month-end reporting and account maintenance
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial records

About You

• Previous trust accounting experience within a legal or financial services environment (essential)
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
• Exposure to payroll and general finance functions
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Organised, proactive and able to work effectively in a small team
• A bubbly, positive personality with the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Experience with Rippling, Affinity or PEXA is desired but not essential
