About the role
Kanga Couriers is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Admin and Customer Service Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based in Pinkenba QLD 4008 and offers flexible working arrangements perfect for those seeking part-time or ad-hoc employment. You will be the point of contact for our customers and internal teams, providing administrative support that keeps our operations running smoothly whilst delivering exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
As an Admin and Customer Service Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
Answering customer enquiries via phone, email and other communication channels with professionalism and courtesy
Processing customer bookings and managing delivery requests accurately and efficiently
Maintaining and updating customer records and databases
Assisting with general administrative tasks including filing, data entry and document preparation
Coordinating with courier teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Handling customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely manner
Providing quotes and pricing information to prospective and existing clients
Supporting the team with scheduling, invoicing and other back-office functions as needed
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in customer service, administration or a similar support role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office and email platforms
Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously
A friendly, patient and professional demeanour when dealing with customers
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual roles
Knowledge of the courier or logistics industry is desirable but not essential
