About us

Santrix Pty Ltd is a locally owned engineering company based in Mackay QLD. Established in 2009, we are a well trusted lead supplier of specialist line boring and engineering services throughout the Bowen Basin and Mackay region.

We’re now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Coordinator to join our team.

The Role

A great opportunity for a hardworking individual who is looking for a role where they can put their skills to good use and be duly recognised and rewarded for their efforts. The role requires someone with strong leadership and people skills, good business acumen and decision-making abilities, a can-do attitude, excellent ability to problem solve and adapt when challenges and obstacles present themselves.

You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a team from our Mackay based workshop facility.

Main responsibilities:

  • Quoting, scheduling, planning, coordinating and overseeing execution of workshop and field jobs

  • Continual communications with customers and Santrix technicians, in regard to schedule time frames, site access compliance, scope of work variations and progress reports 

  • All aspects of site compliance requirements 

  • Monitor and schedule fleet maintenance

  • Ordering of supplies and parts

  • Obtaining quotes, engaging and liaising with vendors

  • Prepare and participate in client safety and performance review meetings

  • Providing urgent customer support in breakdown situations

  • General administration and office support duties

Skills, experience and attributes required

About you:

  • Must be able to work autonomously and efficiently

  • Ability to understand customer requirements and meet deadlines

  • Sound decision-making abilities in time critical circumstances

  • Ability to give clear work instructions and ensuring they are followed through accurately 

  • High level duty of care towards all workplace health & safety protocols

  • Be a team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic 

  • Good leadership, communication and people skills

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, honesty and transparency in all aspects of the role

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work

  • Advanced Computer skills and experience in Microsoft word, excel, outlook etc.

  • Experience in the mining industry is desirable

  • RECKON experience is desirable

  • ARIBA experience desirable
