Short Description

WorkPac is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Technician / Client Service Manager to join a well-established business servicing the mining, quarrying, and industrial sectors throughout the Mackay region.

This unique role offers a combination of hands-on technical work and client relationship management, with approximately 30% of your time spent on the tools and 70% focused on sales, service, and customer engagement.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established provider of specialised equipment and maintenance solutions supporting the mining, quarrying, and industrial sectors throughout Queensland. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, they work closely with major operations to deliver innovative solutions that improve equipment performance and minimise downtime. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated individual to join their team in a technical service and client-facing capacity.

What You Will Be Doing

• Service, maintain, and install equipment across mining and industrial sites
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Promote and introduce company products and solutions
• Identify sales opportunities and provide technical recommendations
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Mackay region and surrounding areas
• Attend Hail Creek Mine every three weeks for planned service work

What You Will Need

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker preferred
• Previous conveyor or conveyor belt experience highly regarded
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proactive approach to sales and business development
• Ability to work independently and manage client relationships
• Current Driver's Licence
• Standard 11 (S11)
• Coal Board Medical (CBM)
• Confined Space Entry Ticket
