We are an industry leading team, looking to add to our great group of field-based technicians.

Accommodation package may be available for the right candidate if relocation is required. 


  • Carrying out installation, commissioning, calibration and servicing of CST equipment, including weighers, IntelliRoll systems, Tramp metal detectors, Volumetric scanners and associated components;
  • Performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on both CST equipment and third-party weighing and process control systems;
  • Attending customer sites (primarily mining and industrial environments) to complete service work safely and efficiently. This could include travel both national or international for days or weeks.
  • Liaising with customers on-site and remotely to confirm job scope, timing and technical requirements;
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving mechanical, electrical or system-related issues in the field;
  • Determining from customer files and on-site observations whether work is warranty-related and recording details accordingly;
  • Completing service job documentation, including Service Job Forms (SHFs, CRF's), reports and obtaining customer purchase order numbers where required;
  • Ensuring CRF's are completed thoroughly, accurately and handed in asap.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with QA procedures, including QA Work Instruction -007 (Service/Calibration/Installation);
  • Accurately recording work completed, parts used and time spent to support invoicing and job tracking;
  • Coordinating with Service Administration and Project teams to ensure smooth execution of service jobs;
  • Following all site safety requirements, including risk assessments, Take 5s and compliance with mine site procedures;
  • Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition;
  • Providing feedback to engineering and production teams on product performance, issues and potential improvements;
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying and raising Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs);
  • Representing CST professionally on-site, maintaining strong customer relationships.

  • Carry out installation, servicing and repair work on CST and third-party equipment;
  • Complete and submit service documentation and reports;
  • Liaise directly with customers regarding service work and requirements;
  • Identify and escalate technical issues or safety concerns;
  • Raise Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs).

  • Previous experience in a service technician, field service or similar role (mechanical/electrical);
  • Trade qualification or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related field (preferred);
  • Experience working in mining, industrial or process control environments (highly regarded);
  • Understanding of weighing systems, conveyors or in-motion weighing technology (desirable);
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers;
  • Ability to work independently in remote or site-based environments;
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality procedures;
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation;
  • Current driver’s licence (essential);
  • Willingness and ability to travel to site (including remote locations);
  • Australian work rights.
