Executive General Manager 

  • Based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne – mix of onsite meetings, work from home + monthly travel 
  • Full-time opportunity (could be part-time for the right candidate!)
  • Competitive remuneration with up to $7,500 yearly PD budget to support further leadership study + bonuses

We are looking for a strategic & engaging Executive General Manager to join the Axis Executive team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering business performance, enabling scalable growth, and continuing to position Axis as a market leader in workplace health and wellbeing. Driven by the belief that healthier and happier people perform better, you’ll oversee the delivery of onsite occupational health, injury prevention and wellbeing services to more than 250 locations across Australia and New Zealand.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead execution of Axis’ strategic and operational priorities across the business
  • Oversee delivery of occupational health, injury prevention and wellbeing services at scale including ensuring workforce planning supports sustainable delivery
  • Provide ongoing mentoring & support for both direct and indirect leads, supporting the capability and confidence of the Axis leadership team
  • Develop annual budgets and reforecasts to support the delivery of Axis’ strategic objectives, using financial targets to drive continual process improvement
  • Strengthen existing and new customer relationships and partnerships, driving retention, growth and reputation.
  • Foster a strong, aligned culture that reflects Axis values and delivers engagement outcomes
  • Enhance Axis’ reputation as a market leader in workplace health & wellbeing
  • Espouse the Axis Values of Professional, Caring, Independent, Outcome Focused, Quality and Dedicated.

You will bring the following: 

  • Proven senior leadership experience (minimum 5+ years, including executive exposure) 
  • Post graduate qualifications in Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent
  • Leadership experience in healthcare or human services industries, doesn’t need to be as a clinician!
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing and delivering against budget
  • Exceptional ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and clients
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth, partnerships and customer outcomes
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical capability
