About the Participant

You will provide compassionate, person-centred support to a 76-year-old gentleman who identifies as part quad with progressing Motor Neurone Disease who needs help with getting up early (5am), with his evening routines, and with bowel therapy.

He needs workers who are reliable, trustworthy, resilient and have a good sense of humour. Experience with hoisting, catheter care, and bowel therapy is a plus—but willingness to learn is a must!

Shifts Available

  • Every Second Day: Bowel Therapy Supports - 3.5hour shift (Flexible start time between 7am and 10:30am). Also opportunity to combine it with the AM shift mentioned below for a 5am-10:30am

  • 7 days/wk 5:00am–7:00am (@ Night rate of pay)

  • 7 nights/wk 7:00pm–9:00pm (@ Night rate of pay)

What we're looking for

  • A decent and caring human who is a Support Worker with a genuine desire to support vulnerable people

  • Have experience in Bowel Therapy and Catheter Care (or a willingness to learn)

  • Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives

  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
