The Role
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where no two days are the same?
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist to join a well-established community services organisation supporting children, young people, families and communities across South East Queensland.
Working closely with the HR Manager and broader People & Culture team, you will play a key role in delivering practical HR support, advice and solutions across the employee lifecycle.
From employee relations and investigations to policy development, performance management and workforce projects, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a values-driven organisation.
This is a true generalist HR position offering exposure to a broad range of human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities
Providing HR advice and support to managers and employees
Assisting with employee relations matters, investigations, complaints and workplace issues
Supporting performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes
Reviewing, developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities as required
Supporting return-to-work and rehabilitation processes
Preparing HR documentation, reports and employment correspondence
Conducting audits and maintaining accurate employee records
Assisting with continuous improvement and organisational change initiatives
Working collaboratively with leaders across multiple operational teams
This role requires someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, adapt to changing demands and maintain professionalism when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Previous experience in a HR Generalist, HR Advisor or similar role
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and National Employment Standards
Understanding of Fair Work principles and contemporary HR practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Experience within community services, child and family services, disability, aged care, health, not-for-profit or other human services environments will be highly regarded.
Mandatory Requirements
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Open Queensland Driver Licence
Ability to obtain a Child Safety and Personal History Check (LCS2)
Ability to complete Hope and Healing Framework training

SCHADS Level 5 - $100,783PA + 12% Super
