Support Worker Aged Care Community

Workforce Extensions Sunshine Health is currently seeking compassionate Casual Community Support Workers to deliver personalised care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and quality of life in the home of aged care clients across the Gold Coast. (Southport and surrounds)

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

• Providing social support activities to improve clients' quality of life

• Providing transportation to and from appointments or social outings

• Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel

• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines as per the Aged Care Quality Standards.

 What we're looking for

• Previous experience in aged community care

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

• Compassionate and patient approach when working with vulnerable individuals

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

• NDIS screening, CPR, Current First Aid certificate

• Own car, with comprehensive insurance, valid Qld driver's license

• Up to date vaccinations (Flu)

• Right to work Australia and two recent industry references.
