At Care to Change Support Workers facilitate participants to live in a supportive, healthy, and stimulating environment, to have the opportunity to experience fulfilled lives and work towards their NDIS goals. Applicant must be skilled in supporting participants with behaviors of concern.
Our teams are supportive, friendly, and passionate about providing quality and caring person-centered support to people with disabilities.
Care to Change offers staff the opportunity to grow within the profession, by offering ongoing professional development. This position is a casual position that pays above the industry average.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
Community Access
Domestic Assistance
Medication Assistance
Personal Care
Supporting participants with complex mental health and behaviour needs
Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
Keep accurate records
Liaising with participants family members
Provide support to participants with palliative care and end of life support needs
Essential Requirements and Qualifications:
A current First Aid Certificate.
NDIS Screening Card
Blue card/Working With Children Card
NDIS Orientation Module
Hold a current driver’s license and have own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Hold Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR
Desirable Requirements and Qualifications:
MAYBO Training
Minimum of 12 months experience within this sector or Aged Care
Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Disability)
Certificate to Assist Clients with Medication
Positive Behaviour Support experience
