MR/HR VAC TRUCK Operators

SafeDig Services (part of the Southern Cross Industrial Group) are a well-established hydro excavation company with locations in Sumner and Yatala. We provide non-destructive digging services to local and state government throughout Queensland. In addition, we offer CCTV ground exploration services alongside our Hydrovac operations.

As our dynamic business continues to flourish, we are seeking multiple Hydro Excavac Operators to join our team.

• Responsible for completing vacuum excavation works around Brisbane region

• Inspect job site for any safety concerns or hazards including traffic management requirements

• Ensure plant and machinery are in good working condition at all times by performing pre and post trip inspections

• Understand Safety and PPE requirements and be able to work safely at all times

• You will be expected to complete relevant paperwork for your jobs

• Drive trucks safely to and from work sites

• Must manage time effectively

• Able to work extended hours as needed

• Able to travel when needed - accommodation will be provided

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test

• This role is 10% driving and 90% hands on manual work, must be fit and willing to do manual work

Experienced Mr/HR driver with exposure to the civil sector are encouraged to apply

Essentials

• Current MR/HR Driver's licence with good driving record

• Experience with VAC truck highly regarded

• Experience in the Civil Construction or Mining sector

• Construction Industry white card

• Excavator RII

Advantageous

• Safe Access to Rail Corridor accreditation

• Rail Worker Industry Card

• Rail Safety Worker Card

• Rail Category 3 Medical Assessment (in date)

• Excavation and Forklift ticket

• First aid certificate

• Confined spaces certificate

• Traffic history report
