Our company specialises in providing School and Urban bus services in Southeast of Queensland. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Quality Control Manager to join our team.

About the role
The Maintenance Quality Control Manager is responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer ensure that repairs and maintenance are conducted to the standard set by the Group. The position is also responsible for ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with the safe working procedures set by the Company.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
· Deliver well maintained, clean and reliable vehicles to the Service Delivery team to meet the Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) on a daily basis.
To adhere to and always manage compliance with Work Health & Safety Policies and Safe Work Procedures (JSEA’s). Identify potential safety hazards and takes appropriate action to ensure personnel safety;
Provides leadership to workshop managers, ensuring they have the instruction, tools and resources to achieve their objectives.
Inspect works undertaken by staff to determine compliance with the appropriate standard
Provide coaching and mentoring to develop staff to be able to meet these standards
Deliver training to new and existing staff on maintenance systems, process, safe working procedures and record keeping
Identify risks and hazards in the maintenance department and develop controls for these risks
Assist the Chief Operating Officer in the development of technical documents
Administers periodic inspections of maintenance records to ensure compliance and accuracy of documentation, filing and records are accurate, up to date and auditable by Department of Transport and Main Roads, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator or Transport Safety Victoria;
Be available to assist and advise with after-hours enquiries, breakdowns, on-road issues;
Experience and Qualifications
Certificate IV in engineering (mechanical) or similar qualification
Demonstrated application of Health & Safety regulations;
Experience in the management of staff;
Risk analysis and management experience;
Experience and knowledge of the Department of Transport maintenance legislation including inspections and compliance audits;
Experience and knowledge of inventory control processes;
ERP experience preferred;
Capable of taking instruction and delivering the intent of the instruction;
Team building and Mentoring capabilities.
