About the role
Pharmavet is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at our Carole Park facility in Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our manufacturing and logistics operations. As Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality control systems that safeguard product integrity, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This role is central to our commitment to delivering excellence in the pharmaceutical and veterinary products sector. The role is available for immediate start, perfect for actively looking candidates.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards across all manufacturing and operational processes
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations, legislative requirements, and internal quality standards
Oversee product testing, sampling, and analysis to verify quality specifications and identify any deviations or non-conformances
Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Manage documentation systems, including batch records, test reports, and quality certificates, ensuring accuracy and traceability
Lead and supervise the quality assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance management
Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all operational stages
Maintain and update quality control equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning
Prepare quality reports and present findings to senior management and regulatory bodies as required
Stay current with industry changes, regulatory updates, and best practices in quality assurance
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field within manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations
Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, GMP, or similar standards) and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, product testing methodologies, and documentation requirements
Proven experience in leading and managing quality assurance teams and driving quality culture within an organisation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues
Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical, veterinary, or manufacturing regulations and standards (TGA, APVMA, or equivalent)
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and manage multiple priorities effectively
