Distance Education Teacher (On-Site)

Although this role supports students learning remotely, it is based on-site at our Sunnybank Hills campus.

What you’ll do:

  • Support effective planning, teaching and assessment using a flexible student-centred model as well as case manage in an alternative, flexible model of learning for autistic students via a distance education mode of delivery.
  • Teach a small class of mixed -aged students (Y5-9) with diverse learning needs.
  • Feel supported by your team with dedicated teacher aides and allied health professionals.
  • Deliver an established and growing Distance Education personalised program to autistic students.

  • A passion for inclusive education and differentiated teaching.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning profiles.
  • A commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
  • Demonstrated experience with school aged autistic children including multi-aged classes.
  • Some exposure to distance education (ideal) and or confidence utilising technology.
