NDIS Support Worker – Where Care, Community & Innovation Meet!

Permanent Part-Time 30 hrs/wk (neg.)

NewDirection Care Bellmere is the world’s first inclusive MicroTown community, delivering innovative, person-centred solutions for people with complex needs — ensuring “the freedom of home follows” our residents. As an NDIS Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents to live meaningful, connected lives within their home and wider community. We are seeking a new team member to join our dynamic NDIS support team on a part-time basis (30 hours per week), with availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities you will assist with are:

  • Accurate case noting and record keeping.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Support clients to participate in social and community engagement.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate client's daily programs in conjunction with their individual personal plan.
  • Assist clients in all areas of personal cares.
  • Domestic duties such as attending appointments, cleaning, meal preparation and laundry.
  • Manual transfers

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • An ability to interact with clients during social and community activities.
  • Proven NDIS experience.
  • Excellent people skills with an energy to working within a team.
  • The ability to work across a 4-day roster inclusive of weekends.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise work.
  • Excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to planning ahead.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent preferable.
  • Reliable transport with full comprehensive insurance.
  • Dementia or cognitive impairment experience desirable.
