Language Disorder Australia is seeking an exemplary Prep/Early Primary School Teacher to join our award-winning school, Mancel College.
As a Prep/Early Primary Teacher at Mancel College, you won’t just teach… you’ll nurture the minds of our youngest learners shaping them for new learning experiences and adventures.
Working in lower junior school (Prep to Year 2) with; smaller class sizes, support from an ongoing school assistant and a drop in allied health team, you will provide personalised attention and support to each child.
You will be more than just a teacher, you will be a mentor, a guide and a source of inspiration. Your daily interactions will shape and support the foundation of student's educational journey, developing the literacy foundation they need to connect with and understand other subjects and their peers, now and in the future.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As our Prep/ Early Primary Teacher you will:
Have the teaching qualifications, QCT registration, Child Safety Checks, experience, and knowledge to be a phenomenal and influential teacher
Understand the unique needs of students with Language Disorders and co-occurring disabilities, and can adapt your teaching to support them
Make a difference by empowering and advocating for your students’ academic growth and success
Use evidence‑based approaches, like explicit instruction, to deliver quality teaching and maximise student learning outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement innovative and adaptive ways of learning
Work closely with parents to proactively ensure transparency of student progress
Be committed to professional growth and are eager to keep learning and developing your skills
Have experience in Prep (highly desirable)

Deliver generic lessons. You’ll tailor your teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with Language Disorder and co-occurring disabilities.
Work in isolation. Collaboration with therapists, families, and colleagues is key to student success.
