About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join our Secondary Years teaching team for Semester 2 2026. Join a collaborative teaching team and share your passion for Maths by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that drive strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Maths curriculum and the College's teaching framework.
• Identify diverse learning needs and plan experiences that enable all students to achieve success.
• Assess and provide both positive and critical feedback that monitors progress and gives clear, actionable steps for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting to be able to provide students and parents with detail and informative written and oral reports.
• Support wellbeing and manage behaviour by building rapport, maintaining an orderly classroom, and following up concerns in line with policy.
• Contribute to the College community and professional practice through teamwork, cocurricular involvement, administration, supervision and ongoing development.

What You Bring

• A relevant Graduate Teaching qualification and current Queensland Teacher Registration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, and contemporary educational issues.
• Proven classroom teaching capability, including effective planning, delivery, classroom management, assessment and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.
