Northside Christian College was established in 1985 to provide an education that was academically excellent and spiritually wholesome for local Christian church members. Over thirty-five years later, Northside is now a leading private, co-educational, non-denominational Brisbane Christian college in Everton Park. We offer Christ-centered education from Prep to Year 12 on one campus. The College has become respected for great academic results, commitment to character development, sporting spirit, and passionate community service.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to start immediately in our Junior School commencing Term 3, 2026.  

Working with a passionate team of dedicated educators, your goal will be to enhance the capabilities of students within your classroom by using expert knowledge and experience of evidence-based teaching strategies.  

As an employee at Northside Christian College, you will be joining an outstanding Christian College committed to inspiring and developing students' spiritual, academic, emotional and social potential. 

The successful applicants will need to attend Literacy training relevant to Northside. 

To be successful, you will have: 

  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligibility. 
  • Demonstrated Teaching Experience in Junior School classrooms 
  • Excellent understanding of Australian Curriculum & Assessment practices  
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the planning, learning and assessing principles of effective teaching and learning 
  • Strong desire to collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate teaching 
  • Willingness and ability to actively lead co-curricular activities 
  • Experience with evidence-based explicit teaching literacy program/s 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with parents/stakeholders 
  • Ability to exhibit Northside Christian College's genuine Christian commitment and care for students.
