About the position

As a Library Assistant at the Toowoomba City Library, you will assist with all circulation activities within the Library including customer service, routine library duties, shelving, program delivery, and training of casual staff.

You will work under regular direction.

  • This is a Temporary Part time position with an expected end date of 4 July 2027.
  • The salary range for this position is $36,749.19 - $39,762.99 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
  • This salary is based on an average of 18 hours / week across the following 6-week work roster:
    • Weeks 1 and 3:
      • Wednesday 12:30pm - 7:00pm with a 30 minute break.
      • Thursday and Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm with a 30 minute break.
    • Week 5:
      • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm with a 30 minute break.
    • Weeks 2, 4 and 6:
      • Monday and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm with a 30 minute break.
      • Saturday 9:30am - 2:30pm.
  • The position is based at the Toowoomba City Library.
