Dunwich State School is the only school on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Our school climate embraces First Nations cultural practises and values our community Elders as teaching partners. We value our supportive island community and the opportunity we have to regularly pursue our outdoor lifestyle with strong ties to surfing and environmental pursuits. Many local families have a long association with the school, with fifth and sixth generations now enrolled. Today, the school caters for students from Prep to Year 6. We are seeking teachers who are flexible and dynamic, interested in teaching primary curriculum.

  • Year 5/6 Teacher (1.0FTE)
  • Prep Teacher (0.2FTE)
  • District Relieving Teacher (1.0FTE) Prep - Year 6. The District Relieving Teacher role provides flexible classroom support across Dunwich SS (base school) Ormiston SS & Cleveland District SS. These locations are flexible dependent on the successful applicant.

Dunwich SS are considering both temporary and permanent contracts for these postions
