About the RoleÂ
We are seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Brisbane team.Â
This is a hands-on role with exposure to the full project lifecycle — from analysis and design through to site work, testing, and commissioning. You’ll work across a diverse range of projects, applying first-principles engineering to deliver practical, compliant solutions.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Complete engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design and certification,Â
Prepare technical documents including reports and certificates of compliance,Â
Conduct site-based inspections, load tests and measure-ups,Â
Support project delivery from concept to detailed design through to fabrication and commissioning,Â
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholdersÂ
About YouÂ
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3-5+ years’ relevant industry experience (consulting and manufacturing experience will be highly regarded),Â
Experience applying first-principles engineering for the analysis and design of mechanical and structural systems,Â
Common projects may include design or certification of steel structures, lifting equipment, crane components, pressure vessels/pipework, tanks, trailers etc.Â
Experience using FEA (candidates with Strand7 experience will be highly regarded but not mandatory),Â
Working knowledge of Australian standards including AS 4100, AS 3990, AS 4991, AS/NZS 1170 Parts 0, 1, 2, 4,Â
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills,Â
Self-motivated with good time management and the ability to work within project budgets,Â
Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor experience preferred).Â
