Total Environmental Concepts is seeking an experienced, safety-focused, and reliable Machine Operator to join our growing team. We deliver environmental management, vegetation management, rehabilitation, and land management services across a range of projects, and we're looking for someone who understands the importance of working responsibly within environmentally sensitive areas.

About the Role

The successful applicant will operate a variety of machinery across environmental and vegetation management projects, including forestry mulching, slashing, access track construction, and land rehabilitation works.

This position requires an operator who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. While some tasks may require self-management and initiative in the field, the role also involves close collaboration with supervisors, environmental personnel, and other operators to deliver safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible project outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience operating:

  • Bobcats/Skid Steers

  • Excavators

  • Tracked machinery

• Experience in:

  • Forestry mulching

  • Slashing

  • Track and access trail construction and maintenance

  • Vegetation management works

• Current HR or HC Licence (open licence preferred)

• Construction White Card

• Strong understanding of machinery maintenance and daily pre-start checks

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in remote and varied terrain

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Highly Regarded

• Experience working on environmental, ecological, rehabilitation, or vegetation management projects

• Knowledge of environmental controls and compliance requirements

• Experience working around:

  • Protected vegetation

  • Waterways and drainage lines

  • Erosion and sediment controls

  • Environmentally sensitive areas

• Chemical application qualifications and experience
