Job Description

Our client is a nationally recognised electrical contractor known for delivering high-quality Construction and Service solutions across South-East Queensland. From warehouses and schools to hospitals, office buildings, cold stores, and major sporting precincts, we power some of the region’s most important infrastructure.

As a company built on innovation, safety, and strong partnerships, they are continuing to grow. This is a new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Foreperson to join the team due to expansion and recently awarded projects in various locations around Brisbane.

This position will see you working closely with site teams and management to deliver commercial construction projects.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the team under the support of a Project Manager
  • Leadership tasks including project organisation, coordinate staff and internal resources and organising material
  • Plan, assign, schedule, forecast and supervise the work of electricians and apprentices engaged in the construction, installation, testing and commissioning
  • Quality control 
  • Ensure safe work practices are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & experience

In addition to your previous experience as a Foreperson, you will hold the following licenses and/or qualifications:

  • Current QLD electrical workers license
  • Current Driver’s license
  • EWP License (preferred)
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • LVR/CPR Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team 
  • Well-developed computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and use business systems and software
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and plans
