We are now expanding our FIFO Emergency Services Officer (ESO) roles across Far North Queensland. If you're an ESO with current emergency response experience, let us help get you work-ready! We’re looking to fill annual leave cover, quick-fill shifts, and offer ongoing contract roles.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Responded to hazmat incidents, grass fires, and vehicle accidents.

  • Supported Emergency Response Team (ERT) operations.

  • Managed medical emergencies and provided first aid.

  • Liaised with ambulance services during emergency responses.

  • Conducted drug and alcohol testing.

  • Participated in site safety and emergency preparedness activities.

What You Will Need

  • Current Coal Board Medical

  • Standard 11 – Surface Induction

  • Certificate III in Mines Rescue or higher

  • Confined space entry and working at heights (within 2 years)

  • HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drug testing

  • RIIVEH201E – Operate a light vehicle on mine sites

  • PUAEME005A – Administer emergency first aid medications
