Psychologist – Workplace Health & Recovery

  • Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time opportunity: Minimum 3 days per week, Monday to Friday
  • Located in Brisbane: Mix of onsite, clinic and telehealth service delivery
  • Remuneration: Attractive salary package + up to $15k of annual performance-based bonuses + up to $1750 PD budget

We’re looking for generally registered psychologists to join our national team delivering workplace mental health services across onsite in Brisbane, clinic and telehealth settings. We’re open to part-time candidates who may only take on the onsite component of the role.

This is a hands-on, embedded role combining onsite workplace delivery, organisation-based collaboration, early intervention and recovery support within insurance schemes. You’ll work directly with employees, leaders and safety teams to deliver practical, proactive and outcome-focused care that supports both wellbeing and sustainable work outcomes.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary model, working alongside other clinicians to deliver integrated workplace health solutions that go beyond traditional 1:1 care.

In this role you will:

  • Provide regular onsite psychological support within client workplaces
  • Deliver early intervention sessions in the workplace to support employees before issues escalate
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, workshops and group sessions to improve psychological safety, resilience and team capability
  • Partner with leaders and health and safety teams to identify psychosocial risks and implement practical strategies
  • Contribute to organisational initiatives including wellbeing programs and workforce insights
  • Deliver 1:1 psychological interventions, including early intervention and adjustment to injury support
  • Support workplace recovery within insurance schemes such as WorkCover, CTP and Comcare
  • Apply a functional, outcome-focused approach, prioritising return-to-work outcomes
  • As part of the Axis Psychology team – participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, multidisciplinary planning sessions and shared learning in various forums
  • Espouse the values of Professional, Caring, Independent, Outcome Focused, Quality and Dedicated

Success in this role looks like:

  • Strong onsite presence and engagement, building trusted client relationships
  • Active contribution to team culture and collaboration within the Axis’ Psychology team
  • Delivery of practical, workplace-relevant interventions
  • Consistent high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with best practice
  • Focus on functional outcomes, not just symptom reduction
  • Positive feedback from clients, workers, insurers and other stakeholders through our feedback platform

You will bring the following:

  • General registration with AHPRA and a tertiary qualification in Psychology
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering 1:1 psychological interventions
  • Confidence working independently in workplace environments with strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Full Australian working rights
