Medical Imaging Clinical Assistant

As a Medical Imaging Clinical Assistant, you will play an important support role within a fast-paced, patient-focused Medical Imaging Department.

• Assist Medical Imaging staff with patient preparation, transfers, positioning, and imaging examinations.

• Coordinate patient flow to support efficient service delivery and timely patient care.

• Monitor electronic worklists and maintain accurate patient information across multiple systems.

• Support communication between Medical Imaging staff and liaise with clinical, nursing, operational, and administrative teams.

• Assist with equipment setup, stock control, and maintaining clean, safe, and organised examination rooms.

• Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive patient experience throughout their visit.

• Assist with general departmental duties to support daily operations and workflow efficiency.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience in a healthcare, radiology, or medical imaging environment.

• Cannulation (IV insertion) skills are highly regarded and will be viewed favourably.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital information systems.
