About the role

As an Occupational Therapist within Therapy and Family Services, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions to children, adults and families.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll support clients across different environments, helping them develop functional skills, independence and confidence. You’ll work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to strong outcomes and holistic care.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapy plans
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
• Support clients across clinic, home, school and community settings
• Work closely with families, educators and other professionals
• Manage a caseload including documentation, reporting and progress tracking
• Contribute to multidisciplinary care and coordinated service delivery
• Participate in supervision, professional development and continuous improvement

About you

You’re a motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping people build independence and engage in meaningful activities

Key skills and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
• Current AHPRA registration (Occupational Therapy)
• Strong understanding of evidence-based and family-centred practice
• Knowledge of child development and disability supports
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Other great skills

• Experience working with Deaf and hard of hearing clients
• Auslan skills or willingness to learn
• Experience in telepractice or outreach services
• Ongoing professional development in relevant areas
