We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced hospital administrator to join our Administration team in a part-time capacity (60hrs per fortnight).

As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for patients and visitors. You will manage admissions, pre-admissions, and billing processes while ensuring a smooth and supportive journey for those in our care.

Working at the heart of the Acute Inpatient department, you’ll deliver professional, efficient, and customer-focused administrative support while helping maintain a welcoming environment for patients and their families.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
  • Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.
  • Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.
  • Supporting patient comfort.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy ward.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Experience either in a medical administration setting or a patient-facing role.
  • Experience with Patient Management Systems will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in and communication with a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Certificate in Medical Terminology.
  • Experience in hospital mainframes systems.
