Lulu Ramen is a vibrant and authentic Japanese ramen bar located in Paddington, Brisbane. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, traditional Japanese cuisine in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our kitchen team in the following full-time role:
Asian Cook (Full-Time)
Salary: AUD $75,000 – $80,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Asian dishes, with a focus on Japanese ramen, broths, and side dishes
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning in line with restaurant standards
Season, portion, and plate dishes with attention to detail and authenticity
Monitor and manage cooking processes across multiple kitchen stations
Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality
Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with food safety standards
Assist in menu development and adaptation of traditional recipes
Manage stock levels, ordering, and storage of food supplies
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required
About You
Holds a relevant qualification equivalent to:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training; OR
AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant work experience; OR
At least three years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Asian cuisine, preferably Japanese
Strong knowledge of traditional cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
