The Manly Hotel supports a collaborative culture where staff can develop skills in customer service and hospitality operations.Role Description The Gaming Attendant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Brisbane, QLD. The Gaming Attendant will provide friendly and responsible customer service to guests in the gaming area, including greeting patrons, assisting with machine operation, and responding to general inquiries. This role involves monitoring the gaming floor for compliance with relevant regulations, venue policies, and responsible gambling guidelines, and promptly escalating any issues. The Gaming Attendant will process payments, handle cash and payouts accurately, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented gaming environment. The role also includes working closely with other team members, supporting bar and venue operations as needed, and working a rotating roster that may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully and professionally with a diverse range of patrons.Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, especially in cash handling and transaction processing.Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including standing for extended periods and managing multiple tasks at once.Willingness to learn and apply responsible gambling practices and relevant gaming regulations; previous gaming or hospitality experience is an advantage.Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and the ability to work well as part of a team.Current or eligibility to obtain required local gaming and responsible service certifications (e.g., RSG, RSA or equivalent in QLD).
