We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administration Team Leader to join us at our Hemmant Head Office. Depending on your experience and strengths, this role could see you leading within our customer service or a segmented claims team; both fast-paced environments where strong leadership makes a real difference.

About the Role

This is not your typical administration role.

Our teams operate in fast-paced, high-volume environments where priorities can change quickly, and no two days are ever the same. Whether you're leading a team of administrators supporting our insurance claims process or coordinating a multidisciplinary team across our water damage operation (including admin staff, coordinators, and technical support working alongside trades and estimators), the core of the role is the same: bringing out the best in your people while keeping the work moving.

We are looking for a detail-oriented leader who thrives under pressure, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently switch between competing priorities while supporting their team to deliver outstanding customer service.

You will be responsible for leading a team with varying levels of experience, skills and personalities, creating a positive and accountable culture while ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support a team across administrative and/or operational functions

  • Manage team workloads, performance and productivity

  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential

  • Monitor workflow and ensure service standards are met

  • Assist with escalations and complex customer enquiries

  • Work closely with supervisors, estimators, trades and management teams

  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and communication

  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and within required timeframes

About You

You are an organised and adaptable leader who enjoys working in a busy environment and knows how to bring out the best in people.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising an administration or customer service team

  • Strong people leadership skills and emotional intelligence

  • High level of attention to detail

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands

  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

  • A calm and professional approach under pressure

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Confidence working with a variety of personalities and experience levels

  • A genuine desire to support, develop and motivate others

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Experience within insurance, construction, property restoration or trade services industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
