We are seeking a highly motivated WSUD Technical Officer to join our team and act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD).

In this role, you will support the ongoing management and optimisation of WSUD infrastructure across its lifecycle, helping to deliver sustainable stormwater outcomes for the city and community.

You'll work closely with the WSUD Asset Management Officer, providing technical expertise, influencing best practice, and supporting the delivery of key stormwater initiatives.

Position: Permanent Full -Time WSUD Technical Officer

Salary from: $96,154.36 per annum + Superannuation

Location: 150 Wembley Road, Logan Central QLD 4114.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Support the management of existing and future WSUD assets and provide technical advice to stakeholders
  • Prepare high-quality reports, policies and planning documentation
  • Deliver WSUD projects on time, within budget and to required quality standards
  • Contribute to lifecycle planning, including maintenance, renewal and upgrade forecasting
  • Maintain asset registers and apply project management tools and systems effectively
  • Engage with stakeholders, including responding to community and Councillor enquiries
  • Support continuous improvement, research and best practice in WSUD and asset management

Key indicators for success:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in WSUD, stormwater quality planning and asset management
  • Experience in project and consultant management and technical reporting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience with relevant systems such as GIS and stormwater modelling tools
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Current working rights in Australia
  • Current "C" class driver's licence
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check
