Luxwood is a growing modular building company delivering smart, practical and high-quality building solutions across Queensland and beyond.
We design, manufacture and deliver a wide range of modular buildings, including accommodation units, changerooms, site facilities, classrooms, offices and custom building solutions. We work across mining, education, government, commercial and remote projects, so no two days are exactly the same.
We are a hands-on team that moves quickly, backs each other and takes pride in getting things done properly. We are not a huge corporate machine, so this role suits someone who enjoys variety, ownership and being part of a business that is growing.
The RoleWe are looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow Luxwood’s client base, build strong relationships and identify new project opportunities.
This role is perfect for someone who is confident, easy to talk to, commercially minded and enjoys getting out there to meet people. You will be working closely with the management team to chase leads, follow up enquiries, develop opportunities and help turn conversations into real projects.
What You’ll Be DoingYou will be involved in:
Finding and developing new business opportunities
Building relationships with clients, builders, councils, mining companies and project managers
Following up incoming enquiries and tender opportunities
Attending meetings, site visits and client catch-ups
Working with the team to prepare quotes, proposals and project information
Keeping track of leads, follow-ups and future opportunities
Representing Luxwood in a professional, friendly and approachable way
Helping promote Luxwood’s modular building solutions across different industries
We are not looking for someone who just wants to sit behind a desk all day. We want someone who is proactive, personable and happy to have a crack.
You will ideally have:
Experience in business development, sales, construction, building, modular buildings or a related industry
Strong communication skills
Confidence speaking with clients and decision-makers
A good understanding of how to build long-term relationships
A practical, common-sense approach
Good organisation and follow-up skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience in construction, mining, government tenders or modular buildings would be a bonus, but the right attitude is just as important.
