As the national driven National Injury Management Advisor, you will lead the end-to-end management of workers’ compensation and personal injury claims across our national operations. This is a pivotal role that combines claims management, injury prevention, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with relevant state and national legislation.
About the role
Manage workers’ compensation claims from initial lodgement to resolution, ensuring compliance with legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
Liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers, and medical practitioners.
Conduct and coordinate workplace investigations in collaboration with site leaders and Safety Advisors.
Prepare and issue approval and non-acceptance letters, ensuring clear and timely communication with all parties.
Manage return-to-work processes for both work-related and non-work-related injuries, including liaising with treating practitioners and developing rehabilitation plans.
Provide advice to operations on injury prevention and return to work practices.
Coordinate the collection of reports, medical evidence, and impairment assessments.
Support legal processes where required, navigating the complexities of multi-jurisdictional injury management to achieve positive outcomes.
Work closely with Safety Advisors to track and analyse injury trends, implementing preventative strategies.
About you
Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management or Return to Work Coordination (or equivalent).
2–5 years’ proven experience managing end-to-end statutory workers’ compensation claims.
Strong knowledge of relevant workers’ compensation and injury management legislation across multiple states.
Experience in conducting workplace investigations and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
Assertive, driven, and able to navigate complex claims and dispute processes.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
Availability to work 24 hours per week, ideally across 4–5 days (school hours possible).
