Practice Manager

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum 3 years experience. Practice Manager experience including accreditation looked upon favourably but is not essential, however a willingness to learn is desired. Award rates apply under the Health Professionals and Support Service Award based on knowledge and experience. A 3-6 month probation period would apply. Work type: Casual

• 3 days per week minimum.

No weekend work required. Standard hours of 8:15am – 5:15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 8:15am – 3:15pm Wednesdays. Some overtime may be required. The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Build positive rapport with patients and work colleagues
• Working autonomously to ensure continual functioning of the business
• Positive attitude
• An ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations

Desired Experience & Attributes:

• General Practice/Medical experience or similar role (essential)
• Knowledge of

Best Practice software (or similar essential)

• Xero, HotDoc & WorkCover knowledge (desired but not essential)
• Managing appointment schedule for continuous flow
• Triaging patients with emergent needs
• Empathy & compassion towards patients
• Prioritising tasks
• Self-motivated & able to demonstrate initiative
• Confidence in both written and verbal communication skills
• Ongoing personal development
