Practice Nurse

About the Position

An opportunity has become available for a Casual Practice Nurse (Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse) to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team at SmartClinics Annerley.

We are looking for a Nurse to join us on a Casual basis. Flexibility is essential for this role to assist with leave coverage and availability for approximately 2-3 days of work per week. The opportunity is open to both Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses.

You will be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and dynamic industry. 

Nursing tasks are varied and examples include: 

• Triage and management of acutely unwell patients 

• Immunisations of children and adults

• Wound care

• Health assessments including workplace medicals

• Assisting with minor procedures

• Results notification and patient education

• Cold chain management

Requirements 

• Current Nurse AHPRA registration (EN or RN) is essential

• Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable

• A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Good availability and flexibility across workdays and hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)

• Proficient computer skills (previous experience with General Practice software not essential but highly regarded)

• Strong communication and time management skills
