Practice Manager – Busy Cardiology Practice (North Brisbane)
We are a leading, busy Cardiology practice in North Brisbane, home to eight cardiologists, a team of seven administrative staff, and four cardiac scientists.
You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving business growth, and overseeing operations across two locations, including 5 peripheral clinics, and managing personnel effectively within these locations. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll balance long-term planning with day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction to support business growth and service development
Manage, mentor, and support a team of administrative and clinical staff
Oversee practice operations to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care
Contribute to recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives
Monitor practice performance and implement process improvements
Assist with daily administrative duties as required
Liaise with cardiologists and staff to maintain a cohesive, high-performing environment
Skills & Attributes:
Proven leadership and management experience (healthcare experience highly regarded)
Strong strategic and business growth mindset
Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
Organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
Willingness to be hands-on and support the team when required
Desirable: Technical skills or background in cardiac science or healthcare
Proven leadership and management experience (healthcare experience highly regarded)
Experience with practice management software
Essential requirement for extensive experience with practice management software systems
Experience with any healthcare practice management system is acceptable
Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and healthcare compliance requirements
Advanced expertise in Medicare billing processes and healthcare compliance requirements is essential
Working knowledge of Medicare billing processes and healthcare compliance requirements is required
HR Experience
Essential requirement for comprehensive HR experience in managing personnel and workplace policies
Minimum 3-4 years of leadership and management experience required
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
