The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our team in any of our locations.
This role is ideally suited to a lawyer with at least 5 years PAE who wants to build strong client relationships and take a leading role in the growth of our litigation practice.
You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, including commercial and contractual disputes, property disputes, debt recovery, insolvency matters, estate litigation and general civil litigation.
This is not just a role for someone looking to work through files. It is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants to grow their practice, strengthen their professional reputation and progress their career within a firm that will support them to do so.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5 years PAE in commercial litigation or a related area;
The confidence and experience to manage litigation matters with appropriate support;
Strong knowledge of court processes, litigation procedure and relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation;
Well-developed drafting skills, including pleadings, affidavits, correspondence and settlement documents;
A practical, commercial and client-focused approach to resolving disputes;
Strong communication, negotiation and advocacy skills;
The ability to build and maintain client relationships;
An interest in business development and growing your professional profile;
A positive, team-focused attitude and a desire to build a long-term career in regional Queensland.
